DECEMBER Book Bonanza

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Everywhere you go. The temperature outside is slowly cooling down to big fat ZERO!!! People everywhere have the big christmas shopping spree on their mind. And oh my god, there are massive queues everywhere!!! The homes are lighten up by christmas trees and other christmas decorations. Families and friends are getting closer. Office parties are taking over restaurants and bars.

Yes, December is here and with it, it's the usual obsession over Christmas. We, girls - Claire and I, are the same. Christmas presents lists are written, money are getting tighter because we are on the budget and there is always the fright in the morning  when we pray that it wasn't freezing outside so we don't slip on our way to the bus stop.

December is long and cold so I have decided to finish off couple of book series I have currently on the go and therefore the December Book Bonanza is mostly Young Adult Book Genre.

So let me share with you the last Book Bonanza of 2013, maybe you will find something which will inspire to give it as a christmas pressie!

DECEMBER BOOK BONANZA

CODE NAME VERITY by Elizabeth Wein

I have two weeks. You'll shoot me at the end no matter what I do.

11th October 1943. A British spy plane crashes in Nazi-occupied France. Its pilot and passenger are best friends. One of the girls has a shot at survival. The other has lost the game before it's barely begun.

Devastating, shocking, compelling and inspiring - once read, never forgotten.

ROSE UNDER FIRE by Elizabeth Wein

Tell the world: I can write again. Oh God! All those months of not being able to write! Of not being allowed to write. Knowing I'd be shot if I were caught. It seems like I have been a prisoner for so long.

Rose Justice is a young American ATA pilot, delivering planes and taxiing pilots for the RAF in the UK during the summer of 1944. A budding poet who feels vividly alive while flying, she is forced to confront the hidden atrocities of war - and the most fearsome.

GIRL OF NIGHTMARES  by Kendare Blake

Cas Lowood used to kill ghosts - until he fell in love with one.

Anna Dressed in Blooed sacrificed herself to save Cas's life - but life without her isn't worth living. So when Anna begins haunting Cas's nightmares, he decides to track her down. Trouble is, Anna is trapped in the depths of Hell.

And she is not alone.

Just your average boy-meets-girl, girl-gets-sucked-into-Hell story.

THE HUNGER GAMES SERIES by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games
Catching Fire
Mockingjay

May the odds be ever in your favour.

Winning will make you famous. Losing means certain death.

In a dark vision of the near future, twelve boys and twelve girls are forced to appear in a live TV show called the Hunger Games. There is only one rule: kill or be killed.

When sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen steps forward to take her sister's place in the games, she sees it as a death sentence. But Katniss has been close to death before. For her, survival is second nature.

TORMENT by Lauren Kate

Love never dies…

It took Lucinda an eternity to find her beloved angel, Daniel. But he waited for her. Now they are forced apart again, to protect Lucinda from the Outcasts - immortals who want her dead. During their separation, Luce learns about her mysterious past lives. But the more she discovers, the more she suspects that Daniel is hiding something.

What if Daniel's version of the past isn't true?
Is it really their destiny to be together?
Or is Luce actually meant to be with someone else?

PASSION by Lauren Kate

"Every single lifetime, I'll chose you. Just as you have always chosen me. Forever."

Before Luce and Daniel met at Sword & Cross they had already lived many lives. Desperate to unlock the curse that condemns their love, Luce must revisit her past incarnations. Each century, each life, holds a different clue.

How many deaths can one true love endure? And can Luce and Daniel unlock their past in order to change their future?

RAPTURE by Lauren Kate

The sky is dark with wings…

And time is running out for Luce and Daniel.

In order to stop Lucifer from erasing the past, they must find the place where the Fall began. Only Luce can break the curse, and it is her choice alone that will decide all of their fates.

But as Dark Forces gather, great sacrifices will have to be made in this final, epic struggle…

In the fight for Luce, and for love, who will win?
