HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! Welcome to 2014!!! It will be a good year!!

So yes, it's here. The new year has started. Have you written your new year's resolutions yet? What's on your list?

And don't forget to read lots of books. As J. K. Rowling once said: "I don't believe in the kind of magic in my books. But I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book."  And please buy books!! It's important to built a good library as it will influence your life and mind for the rest of your days in ways you have never imagined! And even the famous Cicero said : "A room without books is like a body without a soul."

With that, I hope that some of the purchases I made throughout December and were selected for January Book Bonanza will inspire you. For the first time in a very long time, I am including some four E-books as well thanks to Amazon and it's 12 days of Christmas!! I have found some treasures not only there, but in a good old, always reliable - and my personal paradise, WATERSTONES!!

I hope you find something which will interest you and make you read! Of course, keep your eyes open for my reviews as well (some might come sooner than later, although I have quite a lot of books to read already - my Goodreads account currently says 55 !!) .

I hope that 2014 will bring all your wishes and dreams come true! Have a good 2014 filled with lots of happiness, laughter, love and take the time to enjoy every single precious moment!! Take lots of pictures and share it either with us on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr or Instagram!! We wanna know what you reading, listening and watching!!

So without my further mumbling, I let you read my picks for JANUARY BOOK BONANZA!!

JANUARY BOOK BONANZA

THE TALES OF BEEDLE THE BARD by J.K. Rowling

The Tales Of Beedle The Bard contains five richly diverse fairy tales, each with its own magical character, that will variously bring delight, laughter and the thrill of mortal peril.

Additional notes for each story penned by Professor Albus Dumbledore will be enjoyed by Muggles and wizards alike, as the Professor muses on the morals illuminated by the tales, and reveals snippets of information about life at Hogwarts.

A uniquely magical volume, with illustrations by the author, J. K. Rowling, that will be treasured for years to come.

ANTIGODDESS by Kendare Blake

He was Apollo, the sun, and he'd burn down anything that tried to hurt her…

Cassandra and Aidan are just average high-school couple. Blissfully unaware of her own power, Cassandra doesn't even know that gods exist.

Until now…

Because the gods are dying -  and Cassandra could hold the answer to their survival. But Aidan has a secret, and he will do anything to protect the girl he loves from danger that's coming for her. Even if it means war against his immortal family…

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS by John Green

Despite the timor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful. Bold. Irreverent. And Raw.

The Fault In Our Stars is award-winning author John Green's most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE by Jane Austen.

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. "

I have read Pride and Prejudice a lot of time. Got it as a E-book years ago and quickly became one of my favourite books. I come back to it every year, so it was time to treat myself to a gorgeous leather-bound edition from Barnes&Noble publishing house. And I am very happy with my purchase (review coming soon.)

THE HOBBIT by J. R. R. Tolkien

Illustrated by Jemina Catlin.

The great modern classic for all ages, with new colour illustrations.

Bilbo Baggins enjoys a comfortable, unambitious life, rarely travelling further than the pantry of his hobbit-hole in Bag End. But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard, Gandalf, and a company of thirteen dwarves arrive on his doorstep to whisk him away on a journey to raid the treasure hoard of Smaug The Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon…

E-books bought for Kindle:

BEFORE I FALL by Lauren Oliver

They say 'live every day as if it's your last' - but you never actually think it's going to be. At least I didn't. The thing is, you don't get to know when it happens. You don't remember to tell your family that you love them or - in my case - remember to say goodbye to them at all. But what if, like me, you could live your last day over and over again? Could you make it perfect? If your whole life flashed before your eyes, would you have no regrets? Or are there some things you'd want to change..?

ANGELFALL (Penryn & The End of Days Series, Book 1) by Susan Ee

It's been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back.

THE IRON KING ( The Iron Fey - Book 1) by Julie Kagawa

My name is Meghan Chase. In less than twenty-four hours I'll be sixteen. Countless stories, songs and poems have been written about this wonderful age, when a girl finds true love and the stars shine for her and the handsome prince carries her off into the sunset. I don't think it will be that way for me. Something has always felt slightly  off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school … or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her for afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of mythical fairy king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face… and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

THE IRON DAUGHTER ( The Iron Fey - Book 2) by Julie Kagawa

Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is a prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey - ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen . But no one believes her.

Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.
